Antique Jones Brother’s Copper Ice Cream Mould (SOLD)

A Rare Antique “Jones Brothers” Copper Ice Cream Mould. Made from copper with a brass ring pull lid, the mould is made from a very heavy gauge of copper, It is supported on brass threaded stand, which can be unscrewed and totally removed to permit air to escape and assist the un-moulding process. It is “bombe” shaped with a firmly fitting lid bearing a strong ring-pull. The makers mark Stamped JONES BROS DOWN STREET W. C1840

Jones Brothers was a London ironmonger business, located on Down St. W. (very near Buckingham Palace), that existed between 1832 and 1900. Part of their business was the manufacture of good quality copper cookware and medical sterilising equipment. 

This Mould is in great condition and has been polished to showcase the lovely original copper & brass. A lovely piece of Antique Kitchenalia.
