A Superb Oak Rattan Stool. Made from Oak with a beautiful Honey Rattan woven top, all in very good condition, complete with hand turned legs & stretcher. C1900

Wicker and woven seating date back to Ancient Egypt, where artisans used local reeds, grasses. Rattan furniture was introduced to Europe at the beginning of the 19th century and has remained popular ever since.

This lovely low stool is in a lovely condition and the rattan remains full intact. This stool would make a lovely addition to any period home. (Foot rest H: 24cm)
