1898 Merger: Gordon’s and Tanqueray merged to form Tanqueray Gordon & Co Ltd, creating a massive gin powerhouse, although the brands remained distinct. The company was acquired by The Distillers Company in 1922, which later became part of Diageo. Wild Boar Logo was used on Gordon’s bottles, symbolising a clan legend where a Gordon saved the King of Scotland.
