An unusual novelty pewter trinket box, decorated with a handle designed as a golf ball and golf clubs. In the Arts and Crafts style, with hammered pewter, a hinged lid and wooden interior. The base is marked “Trade Civic Mark” Pewter Made in England 1642. C1900

A really lovely piece of Arts & Crafts Pewter, and still fully functional and would make a lovely piece for any collector of Golfing memorabilia.
