A lovely original Cherry Blossom Boot Polish Tin advertising sign. Made from tin, mounted on an oak plinth. C1910
Cherry Blossom is the first and only shoe polish still made in the UK, founded in 1906 in Chiswick by the Mason brothers, Charles and Dan, who used waste tinplate from their soap business to create the iconic penny-sized tins, quickly becoming successful by supplying polished footwear, including for the military, and evolving over a century to meet new demands, remaining a beloved British brand known for its quality and heritage.
This sign is in original condition, has a lovely patina, does show signs of age.
