Rare Howard & Sons Bleached Ash Chest Of Drawers

A very rare large Howard & Sons bleached Chest of Drawers. Made from Ash, with faux bamboo detailing, 2 over 4 drawers, the makers mark Howard & Sons is stamped on the top draw edge. C1880

Howard & Sons, a prominent English furniture maker, is renowned for its high-quality upholstered furniture, particularly sofas and chairs, and innovative designs. Founded in 1820 by John Howard, the company gained prominence for its luxurious pieces and became synonymous with comfort and elegance in Victorian England.

This is a  large chest of drawers and is an impressive piece of furniture, made from Ash, very solid, with 2 small drawers over 4 large drawers, increasing in size to the largest drawer to the base, these drawers have been bleached to give a rustic look.
