antique oak telegram box (or telegram case) is a classic piece of Victorian and Edwardian desk furniture. These domestic letter organisers were crafted from high-quality English oak to store incoming mail, organise documents, and hold the paper blanks and pens required to draft outgoing telegrams. Many include a tactile pull-out drawer at the bottom specifically designed for telegraph blanks, pens, and seals. Some feature embossed brass plaques on the plinth engraved with “Telegrams”. 

This Telegram box is in original condition and remains fully functional. A delightful example of period craftsmanship, with fine figuring and superb practicality.
