Many surviving antique children’s pews/benches date from the Mid-late 19th century, built from solid English oak, sometimes with paneling, carved ends, and pegged joinery, the same as that of full-sized adult church pews. 

Built low to the ground with a reduced seat height and shorter backrest, allowing small children to sit with proper posture during long sermons.

This lovely bench is in a good condition, remains in original condition. When positioning the bench it would be advisable to rest against a wall. (Seat H: 44cm)
