A fine large sized antique Regency gentleman’s writing slope box. Hand made in England from Satinwood with brass banding and inlaid borders, with two flush brass carry handles. The interior has a burgundy velvet writing surface, fitted with various compartments and secret drawers. The box dates from circa.1820

This was a quality piece of Regency table top furniture, finished to the highest standard, and having the history of the owner “Captain Valler” adds to the history of this fine writing slope. Remains in original condition and would make a lovely addition to any collection.
