Victorian Crystal Dumpy Inkwell. This beautiful oversized inkwell, retaining the original cut glass lid. C1880
Victorian dumpy glass inkwells, often referred to as ink pots or “dumpy” bottles, are small, heavy glass containers primarily produced in England between the 1890s and the 1910s. Known for their stout, thick-walled design, these inkwells were designed for stability to prevent tipping while in use and were often used to hold ink for dipping quill or fountain pens.
This inkwell remains in original condition, shows little signs of use. Would make a lovely display piece or used as a paperweight.
